Troy provides an overall vision for the Maine Cardiovascular Health Program, including ensuring evidence-based planning, implementation and evaluation are carried out by the program and that evaluation findings are incorporated into program work. Participates in contract development, oversight, and monitoring. Monitors overall program budget and ensures program reporting is completed as needed. Works with the state cardiovascular health program team and public health partners to develop and implement a statewide cardiovascular health plan. Acts as a liaison to public policy committees related to cardiovascular health.

Elizabeth is a Cardiovascular Health Specialist focusing on Clinical Practice Systems, Blood Pressure, Cholesterol and Women’s Cardiovascular Health. Elizabeth’s work is focused on health care systems improvement in the clinical practice setting to increase the detection and management of cardiovascular risk factors and cardiovascular disease. Through this work health care systems and community organizations develop and test innovative strategies for assisting their health care providers to work as partners with their patients in a collaborative care process. Elizabeth can provide technical assistance, trainings, tools and educational resources in various health care improvement areas.

Tina supports partnerships and initiatives to improve public awareness and education about heart attack and stroke. She supports the improvement of quality services and systems related to cardiovascular acute events, risk factors and cardiovascular disease in Maine. Additionally, she assists with the spread of the National CDC’s Million Hearts Campaign in Maine including clinical prevention and improving care of the ABCS (Appropriate Aspirin Therapy, Blood Pressure & Cholesterol Control, Smoking Cessation and Sodium Reduction). This work includes developing partnerships with public health, health systems, healthcare providers, other State of Maine programs, and community organizations. Tina is a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of experience working in acute care (ICU/CCU), home health, diabetes education, physician practice management and quality .

Stacy works with health care systems and clinical practices to increase the detection and management of high blood pressure. As the Lead Master Blood Pressure Trainer she provides training, tools and educational resources to improve the accuracy of blood pressure measurement. Her previous experience is in health literacy, employee health improvement and orthopedics. She holds degrees in Community Health and Orthopedic Technology.

As Cardiovascular Health Coordinator, Holly serves as primary contact for both internal and external stakeholders and customers. Holly functions as the cardiovascular team leader and fosters team responsibility for the cardiovascular health staff. She ensures the annual program work plan is carried out, that reports are filed to CDC, and takes the lead on program administration, contract management, budgeting and report writing. Holly also serves as the representative of the Cardiovascular Health Program with internal and external stakeholders to address priorities of the statewide strategic plan. She has a B.S. in Community Health Education from the University of Maine at Farmington, a Masters in Public Health from the University of New England and is CHES certified.

Phil is a Cardiovascular Health Specialist focusing on worksite initiatives. He works with regional wellness councils, business groups, health insurers, and local and state agencies to increase the number of employers with programs and policies that support cardiovascular health, specifically through prevention and control of high blood pressure and cholesterol, and awareness of the symptoms of heart attack and stroke.
Phil's education focused on Cardiac Rehabilitation, with a B.S. in Exercise Science from Ithica College and a M.S. in Organization Management from Springfield College. Previously Phil spent 13 years developing wellness programming for individuals and communities and supporting individul businesses to develop their worksite wellness programs. He believes employers have a unique opportunity to support the health and well-being of their employees and he enjoys working with employers to develop the systems and culture to provide this support.
